ABSTRACT:
Introduction: Pregnancy is a critical period that requires careful monitoring and support to ensure the health and well-being of both the mother and the developing fetus. While most pregnancies progress without serious complications, some women may experience conditions that place them and their unborn child at higher risk. Identifying these high-risk pregnancies early is crucial to prevent adverse outcomes and to provide timely medical interventions. Pregnancy is a transformative and complex physiological process that typically results in the birth of a healthy baby. However, it also carries various potential risks that can affect both the mother and the developing fetus. These risks may arise due to medical, genetic, environmental, or lifestyle factors, and understanding them is crucial for promoting maternal and fetal well-being. Objective: The principle objective of the review was to evaluate the effectiveness of leg rub in decrease of level of physiological lower leg edema among antenatal mothers. Methods: The examination configuration took on was Pre exploratory one gathering pretest posttest plan. The example size was 40 antenatal mothers with physiological lower leg edema in PG Hospitals. Advantageous inspecting procedure was utilized in this review. The individuals who satisfied the incorporation rules were chosen for this review. The risk components of physiological lower leg edema were evaluated by poll. Pretest was finished utilizing altered Erwin edema apparatus. Mediation of leg knead was given for 20minutes in every leg and posttest appraisal was done after 6hours of intercession till release. Result of the study: The post-test day1 mean worth (8.65), posttest day 2 mean worth (6.15) and posttest day 3 mean worth (4.60) were lower than the pre-test mean worth (10.7) and posttest day 3 and day2 values were lower than posttest day1 mean worth. The acquired paired 't' test esteems (19.69) are higher than the organized worth (1.68) (P<0.05) was highly critical. Post test day1 uncovered that among 40 antenatal mothers, 2 mothers (5%) had gentle edema, 36mothers (90%) had moderate edema, 2mothers (5%) had serious edema. Post test day2 uncovered that 27mothers (67.5%) had gentle edema, 13mothers (32.5%) had moderate edema. Post test day3 uncovered that 4mothers (10%) had no edema and 36mothers (90%) had gentle edema. There was no relationship between the level of physiological lower leg edema and demographic variables like age, instruction, occupation, space of living, sort of family, tallness, BMI, obstetrical score, gestational weeks with the exception of weight. Biophysical and biochemical boundaries and the risk variables of physiological lower leg edema aside from admission of water. Conclusion: Physiological lower leg edema is an extremely normal issue among antenatal mothers and they are some risk factors related with it. Leg rub is a compelling and cheap measure to lessen the level of physiological lower leg edema among antenatal mothers. The review inferring that leg rub is huge in lessening the risk variables of physiological lower leg edema during pregnancy among antenatal mothers.
